Hike to the lime kilns of Dallau and Neckarburken.

This path connects the two lime shaft kilns in the Elztal districts of Neckarburken and Dallau. These were probably built in the 19th century. The Dallau lime kiln was in operation until around 1930. The lime kilns have been restored and a hiking trail has linked the two cultural monuments since 2010. Information boards explain how the kilns and the lime burning process work.

From the starting point, the path leads straight ahead in a westerly direction. At the second crossroads, the path turns left. Turn right at the next crossroads until you reach the main path again. Turn left there and follow the path. Approx. 100 meters after the edge of the forest, the path leads to the right. Follow the path straight ahead for approx. 400 meters until you cross the next main path. Turn left and follow the path for about 500 meters. Turn left again and walk to the next crossroads.

Follow the bend slightly to the left. The path runs through a small wooded area to the Neckarburken lime kiln. From there, walk out of the forest onto the gravel path again. 
gravel path. Keep left, cross the next junction straight ahead and only turn left at the next junction. Follow the path in an easterly direction for approx. 1.2 km. Turn left at the 2nd crossroads and walk back to the starting point along the Pitschgrund.
