The hiking tour is ideal for families and nature lovers who want to see and discover a lot on a circular hike.

The hike starts on the Michaelsberg at the P3 hiking parking lot. From there, you first follow the "Neckarsteig" towards Michaelsberg. St. Michael‘s Chapel, one of the oldest churches in the region, can be seen from afar: mentioned as a basilica as early as 771. Michaelsberg is a nature reserve on a high plateau and the path leads through meadows and orchards. The pastures are home to horses and Angus cattle, which are bred here.

The path goes left below the chapel towards the viewpoint. From the vantage point, you have an incomparable view of Horneck Castle, the Neckar loop with its lock all the way to Guttenberg Castle and, on a clear day, even as far as Bad Wimpfen. From the vantage point, head back towards the Ferienhof. Here there is a place to stop for refreshments, a farm store and a playground as well as numerous animals to see.

After the hike, it is worth making a detour to the historic old town of Gundelsheim.
