The municipality of Schefflenz lies in the picturesque Schefflenz Valley in the middle of the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park and is an ideal starting point for a wide range of activities.

The tour begins at Oberschefflenz railroad station, past the BAG Franken warehouse and over the Lerchenberg towards the cemetery. From there, the High Cross Trail continues straight ahead towards Limbach (here you also reach the Limbacher and Heidersbacher Mühle) until you reach a junction of 4 paths.

Here you will find the Hohe Kreuz - also an ideal spot for a short rest. For the rest of the way, you have to go back a little on the previous path until you reach a fork, where you now take the path to the left towards Kleineicholzheim through a small wooded area instead of straight ahead. In Kleineicholzheim, the path leads under the tracks of the S-Bahn, over the L520 onto the newly created cycle path, onto which you turn right towards Oberschefflenz.

After crossing the B292, you reach the fish pond of the Oberschefflenz fishing and sports fishing club and continue along the educational fish, animal and plant trail to the kindergarten. Here the path leads 
along the Schefflenz and past small allotments. If you turn right again at the end of the road, you will come to the (so far) only traffic lights in the municipality of Schefflenz, where you can cross the road towards the train station, past the Oberschefflenz elementary school.
