The Limes Trail begins in Rheinbrohl (Rhine) and ends in Bad Gögging, near the Danube. It leads through the federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.

The Limes in Germany, at 550 km the longest archaeological monument after the Great Wall of China, marked the border between the Roman Empire and the Germanic tribal associations in the period from the early second to the third century. It runs through the territories of today‘s federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Limes hiking trail along the Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes begins in Rheinbrohl on the Rhine and ends in Bad Gögging near the Danube. One section of the hiking trail also leads through the north of Baden-Württemberg.
