The world‘s first and incomparable "Bikini Art Museum" opened its doors on July 5, 2020 (International Bikini Day) in the "capital of swimwear" Bad Rappenau, right next to the international A6 freeway hub.

The Bikini Art Museum in Bad Rappenau is a central cultural institution in which all historical and contemporary knowledge on the subject of swimwear from three centuries and all historically relevant continents has been collected.

In addition to in-depth historical information, visitors can expect a variety of entertainment, shows, hands-on activities and great photo motifs for their next vacation album.

From bans, scandals and arrests, to the struggle of women around the globe for their right to self-determination, to Hollywood divas and bikini icons such as Ursula Andress, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot - the Bikini Art Museum inspires and arouses strong emotions.

Multimedia time travel to distant cultures is complemented by artistic interpretations of the two-piece suit.

With more than 1,000 exhibits from the fields of fashion and art , international and regional cultural, fashion and industrial history is brought back to life in the 1,500 m2 exhibition and event space.

Internationally renowned artists have explored the symbiosis of art and bathing culture in the past and present, and German celebrities such as Udo Lindenberg and Otto Waalkes have also created exclusive works of art for the Bikini Art Museum.
