The romantic Guttenberg Castle lies high above the Neckar Valley. With the castle museum, the German Griffin Observatory and the castle tavern, it combines attractions in a place that breathes 800 years of history and offers a fantastic view from the tower.

The castle museum with its Lego exhibition and 40-metre-high keep takes you on a journey through time from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Here you can find out how to become a knight, what a xylotheque is and why the keep has a hole in it.

Interesting events take place at Guttenberg Castle throughout the year.

Guttenberg Castle is easy to reach via the A6 (Bad Rappenau exit) or the B27 (Gundelsheim). Please follow the brown signs with the inscription "Burg Guttenberg". For buses, there is a separate signposted route to the forest parking lot (approx. 10 minutes‘ walk to the castle). From the boat landing stage on the Neckar it is about a 30-40 minute walk to the castle.
