This museum complex with numerous historical buildings allows deep insights into the mostly simple, but also very captivating past of the earlier rural world of life and work.

Posthouse, poorhouse, brickyard, farm estate... the buildings line up like a picture book on this journey back in time. But today‘s nostalgia was once a physically demanding hand-to-mouth existence in the Odenwald. This guided tour will explain not only the buildings but the lives of their former inhabitants. You can also explore the gardens and farms, including the animals, on your own. On the way back, don‘t miss the popular Haus Bär with its depiction of the world of the 1950s and ‘60s.
